Paul vogel textile designerPaul Vogel Bedlinen was designed and launched in 2008 at the suggestion of a client and was initially stocked by House of Fraser. Paul chose his 20 favourite designs and then had to narrow them down to 10 for the initial collection, he decided to combine the 20 designs and put one on each side to make the final 10. The designs went off to Southern India to be woven by the lovely Parry Murray weavers in Kananor. Paul names all his designs individually but this time before he could name each of the Duvet covers and pillowcases the Indian weavers beat him to it using the names of their children. Paul Vogel set up his textile design studio in 1990 after returning from Italy where he worked for 2 years living in Florence and designing for the Italian mill Ceechi. At the mill he was involved designing ranges for Armani, Bennetton and Paul Smith. He specialises in colourful woven Yarn dyed checks and stripes for fashion and interiors. The studio moved from London 4 years ago when Paul and his family moved into a 15th Century farmhouse in Suffolk. The design studio produces seasonal Textile design collections for the Fashion and Home markets. These designs are then exhibited and sold at all the main textile/fabric exhibitions in Frankfurt, Paris and New York.
Paul’s designs have been used by high street chains: Top Shop, Miss Selfridge, Oasis, Next, M&S and French Connection and Brands like Levi Strauss, Dockers, Timberland, Stussy, UNIQLO, Boden, Jack Wills and Home Martha Stewart, Designers Guild and Colefax and Folwer. |
